- There are so many great films of Mel Brooks that it is difficult to spotlight just one -- but Blazing Saddles had such great tongue-in-cheek humor!

- As a therapist: High Anxiety! As a lover of horror: Young Frankenstein!
Then there was the brilliant moment in To Be or Not to Be a comedy, when the old lady won't run through the audience of laughing Nazis and we are brought stone cold into the reality. It was brilliant.
But I have to say Mel Brooks is either very, very good...or very bad, he has had a couple of stinkers!
(my security word is ubergiggle: too perfect)

- My very favorite--and it is sooooo hard to pick!-- would have to be Young Frankenstein. The whole movie is hilarious--from start to finish! It gave the song "Putting on the Ritz" a whole new meaning. All the actors were great--true comics!
Also think Sid Caesar was one of the best and was helped along tremendously by the writings of Mel Brooks.
It's a shame that there doesn't seem to be many comedians today who can be really funny without cussing, blue remarks or hurtful remarks. Perhaps TRUE COMEDY is a dying art.
