Melbourne's answer to graffiti was to allow permits to artists to legally apply their art and to clean up graffiti applied without permission, with over 1000 permitted pieces on the streets of Melbourne alone it is an amazing and inspirational project that may spread throughout Australia.

- That seems like a great solution to the graffiti problem. I was in Australia for a few weeks several years ago but unfortunately didn't make it over to Melbourne. I hear it's beautiful!

- An interesting solution to an urban problem. Giving people something to look at besides the usual type of graffiti scrawls, while giving people with artistic talent a venue as well! Great idea--every city should adopt this.

- Melbourne Graffiti Off the Beaten Track is visually stimulating and showcase the work of some very talented artist. Very creative use of public space that enhances an areas open space to pedestrians.
Beautiful examples of the graffiti art that are visually captivating.
