The Amazon customer reviews are always a fantastic place to look to get an idea about how good (or bad) a product is. In the case of Melissa and Doug's Slice and Bake set, I found a predominantly 5-star reviews.

Comments included ones like the one from jillschmill who says that this kit is wonderful for children who are into PROCESSES and that it offers them the opportunity to remove the cookies from the tube, slice them, place them on the cookie sheet and, when they are finished baking, to frost them and then remove them from the cookie sheet with the spatula. Then, of course, the cookies can be served. She says this is the PERFECT gift idea for children who are two to three years old.

Katherine Bruner said that her almost two-year old and an almost three-year old cousin head straight for Melissa and Doug's Slice and Bake Cookie set when they go to Gramma's house. They like sorting them and dumping them and, of course, pretending to make cookies.
