1. Google is the obvious one, do a detailed search on your topic, see what's already out there for your market, if there are lots of search results, try and scale down and refine your keywords in your search, look for sub niches you could dominate.
2. Forums are a good source of information too, here you can find useful links to content and answers to problems and solutions to stuff you could create for others to be of benefit.
3. Blogs are a good source of info too, try and narrow down your search to specific blogs that would compliment your own content, when you create it, of course other peoples ideas and resources may be better than yours so it's best to take what works and make it better.
4. Take what you know about your subject and build on your knowledge by researching it thoroughly so that you become an expert and are able to present your niche content with confidence.
5. Find people online who are doing what you intend to do online with your niche market, research the competition to make yours stand out from the crowd, also if the websites that you find are quite professional and offer valuable resources and information, then why not consider a Joint Venture proposal, so that you can leverage others subscribers and sales.
