Mentoring is a huge step forward in your spiritual growth, and will push the limits of your comfort zone...stretching you to become more and more competent in living out your faith than you could ever become on your own. As iron sharpens iron, let us sharpen one another.

Everyone needs someone that they can look to for advice, direction, and for challenge. It takes quite a bit to become the men and women we were meant to be. Sin has caused such a distortion in our ability to thing straight and to do what is right that we need the extra push of someone who knows us well and can help us see how we can better honor God with our lives.

We were never meant to do this alone.

A journal can be your best friend when combined with the direction and guidance of the Holy Spirit and Scripture.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when they approach journaling is to view it as merely debriefing onto the page the things that happened in their day. Don't do this. Instead, use your journal as a place to think out loud, to pray, and to make connections between your life, Scripture, and the lives of those around you.
