The militarys hands are tied onthis. speaking as a us soldier, if we get involved with these ships it is considered an act of war and our government doesn't want to put us back into somalia. So i agree with having mercs onthe ships but the problem is that the shipping companies insurance agencies would drop them due to the danger aspect.and the companies themselves will not pay for the training to arm their crew, so we are all s.o.l. and have to play the games by the pirates rules until they start commiying actions that the government deems as war worthy.you can blog all you want but nothing is gonna change.we were already at war with somalia before black hawk down was a true story.and we learned a big lesson from it.those people have nothing to live for and that makes them an extremely dangerous enemy.i do support mercs but its not gonna happen
