The Mission of CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ, is to provide 24-hour compassionate, confidential telephone listening and referral services giving hope and reassurance to people in crisis.

CONTACT programs help people in Mercer County who are looking for someone to listen to them, ease their despair, and help them share the daily burdens of life. The Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton

The Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton was founded in 1980 by Nassau Presbyterian Church and Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton. Originally, it was created to address the issues of hunger and homelessness in the Princeton area, but soon expanded to include the city of Trenton and its surrounding area. Since its inception, the Crisis Ministry has assisted low-income households in emergency situations for which there are often no other sources of help available.

Dress for Success Mercer County is a nonprofit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

The Lawrenceville, NJ office includes a boutique where clients receive custom suits and accessories, a Career Center offering guidance, technology and job search skills, and a Professional Women's Group for job support and training in other life skills. All services are provided free of charge to eligible clients with the goal of instilling confidence and professionalism.

HomeFront programs provide emergency shelter, and transitional and service-enriched, affordable housing. Their mission is to meet the immediate needs of food, shelter, and safety, and to help troubled families break from the cycle of poverty. They work with single mothers, single fathers, and families with histories of domestic violence, child abuse, drug abuse, and welfare. They also work with families who just cannot make ends meet in a declining economy.

HomeFront programs support education and employment for both children and parents. HomeFront helps parents work toward their GED and apply for and hold jobs. They provide preschool, after-school, tutoring, and summer camp programs for their children. They work with the whole family.

The Princeton Senior Resource Center (PSRC) is a private nonprofit organization founded in 1974 to provide programs and services to promote healthy aging for Princeton area older adults (age 55+). PSRC was the first senior center in New Jersey to receive national accreditation in 1998.
