Should Stores Always Be Inclusive Saying "Happy Holidays" and Never "Merry Christmas"
There seems to be a tendency of stores in the United States using "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" these days. Well, if there are Christmas shoppers going to stores, then what's wrong with using "Merry Christmas?" I have no problem with it but some who don't celebrate Christmas or are wanting to be more inclusive might.
I also have no problem if stores say "Happy Holidays" because there are a lot of holidays around this time and it's a nice greeting too. But it would sound pretty stupid if they call a Christmas Tree a Winter Tree or something like that just since we've been calling them Christmas Trees for so long. Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays and I guess it's weird to me that lots of people don't want to call it Christmas in public anymore because it might offend some people. And then it offends other people when "Happy Holidays" is used instead of Christmas.

Since there is no such thing as politically correct, anyway. Just say what you mean. Merry Christmas!

Sure, they can say Merry Christmas because there are lots of people shopping for Christmas gifts, and they can also say Happy Hanukkah or whatever other holiday they want to. But they don't have to be afraid of saying the name of a holiday for fear it might upset people.
