Types of Mesothelioma
It is only recently that the cancerous Mesothelioma has developed and become a deadly disease. For those who don't know, Mesothelioma is a cancerous disease that is considered a cruel type of cancer. Mesothelioma forms into tiny tumors in and outside the important organs of a human body. Mesothelioma happens when the Mesothelium becomes infected and this gives a life threat to the patient. Basically, the Mesothelium is the lining that protects the internal organs of our body. If Mesothelioma is not identified as early as possible then you would expect that it will worsen. You are maybe aware that the primary cause of Mesothelioma is the frequent exposure to a vast amount of asbestos.
Mesothelioma is determined into three types, the peritoneal, pericardial and the pleural. Each Mesothelioma type has its own signs and symptoms, however there are symptoms that are common for all three types. Most of the time, the patient can't immediately notice these symptoms until the diagnosis. Among these three types of Mesothelioma, pleural Mesothelioma is the most common. In this type of Mesothelioma, the lining in the lungs is affected and there is a cavity that is already malignant. The symptoms for pleural Mesothelioma include problems in breathing and in swallowing foods or liquids, you may also experience some shortness of breath and extreme coughing with food. Too much weight loss is also possible, as well as constant fever and scratching.
The most uncommon type of Mesothelioma is called Peritoneal Mesothelioma. In this type of Mesothelioma, your lungs and your stomach are the organs that are mostly affected. Mainly, the cancer takes place in the abdomen area but it does spread throughout your entire body. The patient with this type of Mesothelioma usually experiences serious stomach and abdomen pains, there is a loss of appetite causing the patient to lose weight, some feeling of nausea and vomiting, difficulties in breathing, problems in bowel movement, and pains in the chest as well as blood clotting. The third type of Mesothelioma which is considered as the rarest one is called the Pericardial Mesothelioma. It is the heart and the areas around that are attacked on this type of Mesothelioma. The symptom for this type of Mesothelioma includes shortening of breath, shivering in the heart, pains in the chest and relentless coughing.
If you have already noticed the symptoms that I have mentioned, then you have to hurry and rush to the doctor and undergo an examination. If your doctor is not aware that you have been exposed to chemicals like asbestos that trigger the occurrence of Mesothelioma , then you have to inform him so that he can give you the appropriate examination for this cancerous disease. You should not take your health for granted, there's no problem in being precautious, and it is a must to always ensure your health.
