Mesotherapy Lipodissolve: Non-Surgical Liposculpture
The use of injections to melt away unwanted fat is the answer to many individuals' dreams! Targeted fat destruction, no surgery, minimal downtime, no need for anaesthesia, minimal risk. Technique
Fat melting involves the deep injection of products into the subcutaneous fat of the skin. The drugs can either cause fat cell membrane destruction, fat emulsification, or an increase in metabolic rate in that area. The use of fat destructive products will result in permanent fat loss. Emulsifiers will enhance fat clearance from that area.A combination of products, usually with different modes of action are used to create fat melting cocktails. The doctor can mix individual agents up specifically to your needs and response, or use pre-mixed cocktails over which he has no control. The discomfort associated with the injections is dependent on the agents used.
Once the fat is released, it is taken to the liver for metabolism. Some people experience oily stools in the days following mesotherapy.
A few sessions are usually needed for results. Part of the safety of mesotherapy is not injecting excessive amounts, so as to avoid complications that involve destruction of adjacent tissue (skin or muscle). Not everybody responds to mesotherapy in the same way, and changes in cocktail may be needed to optimize results.
How It's Done
The area for treatment is marked out, and multiple injections with a very fine needle are made into the fat layer. This allows precise deposition of the cocktail according to need.Skin numbing is done with ice packs. The injections range in comfort level according to the products used. Some cocktails are virtually pain-free.
The injections can either be done free-hand with a syringe and needle, or with a meso-gun.
Drugs Used For Lipodissolve
- Deoxycholate
Derived from bile salt, this is a potent lipolytic agent. It acts by disrupting the cell membranes, killing the fat cells and releasing the fat. In pure form, this agent is very potent and causes quite severe pain on injection. - Phosphatidylcholine
This is traditionally the main product used for mesotherapy lipodissolve. There is debate about the efficacy of phosphatidylcholine for lipolysis as it is now believed that it is the product's solvent deoxycholate that is the active agent. Phosphatidylcholine acts as an emulsifying agent to enhance fat absorption by the lymphatic system. - L-Carnitine
Amino acid that increases thermogenesis and cellular metabolism. Acts to increase fat burn. - Thyroid Extract (Homeopathic Triac)

What to Expect After Mesotherapy Lipodissolve
Allergic reactions are rare. Rashes are the most common occurrence should there be a negative reaction.
Gentle massaging of the treated area, plus a high water intake are advised after each session. No other lifestyle changes are required. Activity can be resumed immediately, but exercises may not be at full intensity. No foods need to be avoided.
