Metacognition, or thinking about your own thinking, is one of the most important skills that a person can cultivate. When you can learn from your own behaviors and actions, you can become more strategic, self-reliant, flexible, and productive.

Your Key Learning Skill

Metacognition is absolutely one of the most important skills you can cultivate during your life. Essentially it consists of being able to create action plans and adapt your strategies if you perceive the plan may not go well.

Metacognition involves:
* self-reflection
* self-responsibility
* drive and initiative
* goal setting
* time management

There are numerous ways to engage in these strategies and this lens will strive to give you resources and tools to help you improve your metacognition.
