Cancun - A huge amount of all inclusive resorts built on a land bridge that is seven miles long jutting out into the Caribbean Sea and reconnecting with the small city of Cancun. Cancun is located on the Yucatan Peninsula on the eastern coast of Mexico. Other than a few golf courses, nightclubs, and shopping malls, Cancun is a place where you sit on the beach and enjoy the meals, drinks, and activities of your all inclusive resort.

Riviera Maya - The coastline streatching south of Cancun to Playa del Carmen and Tulum is known as the Riviera Maya. Fly into the Cancun airport and take a shuttle south to your resort. A fairly dry climate leads to a lot of sun, sand, and surf, but it isn't a lush tropical destination.
