• Are all the start up costs disclosed? Make sure the company provided website details all the costs involved with a candle business. There are many different ways to make money with this business- expos, retail, home parties, fundraising, corporate gifts, team building, online, offline, etc. Decide what you want to do and then get the training, support, and customizable tools.
• Can you market freely? Many direct sales candle companies have restrictions on online marketing. If selling online via ebay or etsy, or your own personal website is something you want do do, you'll need to ask right up front. • Is a monthly auto-ship required? You'll need to consider if you can afford a monthly auto-ship. Or, if no auto-ship,do you need a certain amount to be qualified for commissions or to stay active? Most direct sales companies do have some types of minimums.
