Her Name

Mia means "Sea Of Bitterness". It is supposedly of Scandinavian origin and is often associated with Maria.

Her Attitude

Mia has a no-nonsense-accept-me-as-I-am or get lost attitude. It's inspiring and a welcome change.

Her Curves

Well of course! Mia is incredibly curvy and proud of her curves. Her proportions help her make a living on the runway and in print.

Last year Mia Tyler has joined forces with friend and designer Victoria Baker-Winfrey to create a new line of plus size clothing for sizes 12 to 28. They were in the early stages of business start up, having a concept, and are working on capital when they set up an official website where fans could be involved in the ground work by making donations toward their $100 000 start-up goal. In return fans received coupons for future purchases and depending on the amount a few other surprises ranging from a personal phone call from Mia or signed photograph to a photo shoot wearing the hot threads and meeting Mia in person.

In the past Mia has been represented by the Wilhelmina modeling agency. She has appeared in such elite magazines as Seventeen, Teen Magazine, Teen People, Mode, Us, Jump, YM, Moxie Girl, Vogue and on the cover of Flare. She has also appeared on the runways of New York and Paris.

Her Parents

Mia is the daughter of Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith and Cyrinda Fox (R.C. from the Andy Warhol's movie Bad). Like most teens, Mia had a rocky relationship with her parents but has reconciled with both. Her mother died in 2002 from a brain tumor.

Brothers and Sisters

Liv Tyler is Mia's half sister via Steven Tyler and Bebe Buell. She also has a brother and sister (Chelsea and Taj Tallarico) through Steven's marriage to Teresa Barrick.

Mia recently announced her breakup to guitarist Brian Harrah who she was previously engaged to.

Mia talked about the break up on her Myspace blog in an effort to quiet any rumours and hard feelings. It is considered an amicable parting and the two remain friends.

Mia was previously married to drummer Dave Buckner.

That's right, Mia wrote a memoir, titled Creating Myself. It was released in August 2008.

Mia was involved in one of the first teams in Celebrity Fit Club, a weight loss challenge reality television show which aired from January - March 2005. Her fellow team members included Daniel Baldwin (actor), Bix Markie (rapper), and Mablean Ephriam (Divorce Court judge). Unfortunately, or not (depending on your view), her team didn't win but she lost 17 pounds.
