A Look Into Michael Flatley's Third Dance Show, Celtic Tiger
Celtic Tiger was the third in a series of world shows and tours that have earned Michael Flatley numerous titles and the position of one of the highest paid dancers to ever live.
The three shows he produced spanned a decade of a sensation that was truly Michael Flatley's.
My mother introduced me to Michael Flatley in the late 1990's when his rise was happening. I was enthralled by his performances and amazed at how the man could move his feet. It's incredible!
I became a fan just like my mother and have lots of great memories of watching his performances on television and video together.
Some say he's temperamental, a bit egotistical and spoiled.....
In my eyes, like him or not, he is an incredible talent that made the world fall in love with Irish step dancing as no other artist ever could! He is truly talented. With talent sometimes comes ego and in Michael Flatley's case I find him to be a man passionate about making his dreams come into fruition. He is a believer that anything you can conceive you can achieve.

The Road To Celtic Tiger

Budapest is one of my favorite cities in the world and I can think of no greater place to preview my new show." - Michael Flatley.Michael Flatley's show production story began in 1996 with the debut of his first, highly successful Lord Of The Dance. It was followed by the equally popular Feet Of Flames which came on the scene in early 2000.
He took some leave time from the dancing world and it was thought that he was in full retirement. But he had one more blockbuster show up his sleeve.
Michael Flatley had always invisioned a show in which he could bring the story and spirit of Ireland to the stage. He was the son of Irish immigrants and had a deep abiding love for their homeland Ireland. Another show creation and idea was born from that vision.
Celtic Tiger opened July of 2005 and was in full production on the 10th Anniversary of his still ever-popular Lord Of The Dance. The world and his fans rejoiced that he had returned to the dancing scene. The Celtic Tiger scentsation had begun...
Who Is Michael Flatley according to Wikipedia
Michael Ryan Flatley (born 16 July 1958) is an Irish American step dancer, writer, flautist, choreographer and occasional television presenter who became internationally known through his theatre musicals, Riverdance, Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames. He shot to fame during the interval of the Eurovision Song Contest 1994.

Few races have played a more significant role on the stage of world history than the Irish. Ireland 's history provides a dramatic story board for Michael Flatley , challenging his creative ability to produce a spectacle that is at once provocative and sensitive.
The story unfolds with the Celts. And as darkness fills the stage the pulsating sound of taps signal the beginning of a daring production that is masterful in terms of choreography, music, stage presentation and costume design.

The epic begins with the portrayal of the passion of the Irish spirit in a fight for freedom. The journey begins before Christianity and chronicles historic events that depict the power and courage of the indomitable Irish spirit throughout centuries of hardship and oppression.
Images from history fill the first half of the show, culminating in the birth of Ireland, the nation state, and a people emerging victorious from the jaws of defeat.
The second half is a celebration of modern Ireland, and new beginnings in America and across the globe. But the binding thread is the invincible spirit of the Celtic Tiger itself, weaving images into an exquisite tapestry of dance drama.
And it heralds another defining moment in the career of Michael Flatley. As creator and choreographer, his relentless drive converges with his vision of Irish heritage in a show that roars with defiant energy.

Celtic Tiger Live or more often known "Michael Flatley's Celtic Tiger" or just "Celtic Tiger" was an Irish Dance show.
Celtic Tiger European Tour Later Canceled......
Celtic Tiger began it's tour on July 9, 2005 in Budapest, Hungary as Michael had always planned.
It was there that Michael chose to unveiled Celtic Tiger, his epic masterpiece that fuses the spirit and history of Ireland with music and dance
Celtic Tiger premiered in the US on September 27, 2005 at Madison Square Garden where Michael and his troupe gave the audience a stunning performance that received five standing ovations and many great reviews.
As the European Tour of Celtic Tiger was building momentum, it was suddenly canceled. On November 15, 2006, Flatley's website reported that he had been admitted to hospital. According to media reports, he was suffering from a serious viral infection. All his up-and-coming shows for Celtic Tiger were cancelled. He left hospital three days later.
Michael Flatley is still an active force in the production of his dance works. After his illness, he married and had a child.
More recently he has made a guest appearance and gave a performance on an episode of Dancing With The Stars. He also filled in for judge, Len Goodman, during the 7th season of the show.
In January 2009, Michael Flatley became the co-host of NBC's Superstars of Dance.
