Gun Play by Michael Thompkins
Dr. Tom Reynolds is dragged into investigating the murder of an accountant, killed in the desert by a professional hit man known only as Bocca. The lone witness is Chris, a young homeless musician. Reluctant to get deeply involved at first, Reynolds becomes determined to save Chris when Bocca attacks the doctor's house. Later, the hired killer shoots Reynolds' friend and kills a security guard. The question remains: Who hired Bocca, and why? As Reynolds and his police associates investigate further, they discover a massive energy-trading scam and the real reason that Bocca is going out of control. When Bocca takes two hostages at the top of an aerial tramway, Dr. Reynolds must exorcise his own personal demons in order to attempt to prevent disaster.Buy This Book
