The World of Michelle Lacroix Toro!

Welcome to My World! The world of Michelle Lacroix-Toro. . .

I've heard it said that it's so much harder to describe yourself than it is to describe someone else. Boy, is that the truth!

So I'll start with the tried and true stuff. . . mmmmm Michelle Lacroix Toro is: . . .

I'm the mother of three grown up sons, Derek (21), Adam (24), and Andrew (almost 26) and everyone who knows me is made aware quite quickly that I am very proud of all three of them. They are so different from each other, and yet, most of their values are similar. They don't look like each other, but there is a resemblance. Each so special and so loved.

And grown up or not doesn't make a difference to me. I'm a typical "mama bear", you hurt my kids, you better keep looking over your shoulder, because Mama Bear is going to roar into your life pretty soon! LOL Yeah, I love my kids and I'm blessed to have them love me in return so much.

And then there's my husband, Santos! What a guy! Again, I'm blessed to have found someone who complements me in such a way that he doesn't stifle me. He ALWAYS encourages me to do what I want to do whether it's sky diving (my kids bought me a ticket for my 45th birthday and my husband is the one who drove 3 hours one way to enable me to make the jump), start a garden from scratch (I needed planting beds, supplies, and covered cages to keep the animals away from the plants - Guess who helped me get all of this?), to starting a business relationship with a friend and spending hours getting all the paperwork in place (guess who helped get dinner on the table when I got so involved I didn't even know what time it was?).

We laugh about the strangest things and at the strangest moments! Even when life gets you down for those little moments, he's there with me looking for the ONE GOOD THING that will come out of a situation. And did I mention we always laugh together? Yes, people say that there is always someone out there for all of us and I know I found the one person I'm supposed to be with. He's a wonderful man and I make sure he knows that he is loved every single day.

He recently had gall bladder surgery. For those of you who want to hear about the surgery, I wrote a few posts on my And How Was Your Day? blog about it. Wow, so many things you never know until you are faced with them!

I tell people that I knew he was "the one" the day he gave me my first gift. Santos didn't bother with flowers or chocolates (although I'll admit to loving both of them), but took the time to find me a really nice butterfly knife! Now, I know some of you are rereading this thinking that you read it wrong and you didn't. I have a HUGE knife collection and I love handling knives that are sleek and smooth. I have quite a few in my collection that are full of multiple edged curves and sharp points. I have a few sets of throwing knives (and, yes, I know how to throw a knife accurately) and I even have a mace and flail hanging (high up so no one can get to them) above a set of sliding glass doors in my living room. Guns are OK (my dad was a gun collector, so I'm knowledgeable), and I know how to handle myself with them, I'm an OK shot, but knives are really my thing.

For Santos to accept that "passion" and even encourage it told me so much about him. He's a man very comfortable with himself and doesn't feel threatened or intimidated by a wife who can handle herself. Oh, maybe I need to mention that I was a kick boxer before we met and I spent about 3 years in competition. Santos is actually proud that I could "kick someone's _ _ _" if I needed to. Both of us are well matched since he's a retired military cop and studied Jiu-Jitsu when he was younger. And, no, we've never fought, don't plan on it, and since we are both controlled people, can't see it happening! BUT both of us have told each other that it's sort of sexy knowing that IF it ever did happen, neither of us is sure who would actually WIN! LOL

Before you all think that I have all of these violent tendencies because of my little "hobbies", I'll tell you right now that I am a voracious reader, I love writing, swimming, baking, cooking, beading, and quilting! Yes, all the girlie hobbies, so I think that should redeem me, right?

Well, I think that's enough about me for now. And it really is easier to talk about others than yourself, but I hope I gave you enough clues about what I'm all about with this intro.

I hope I made you smile at least one time!

Keep on reading to see other windows into my world!

Jewelry, Anyone?

A few years ago, I was introduced to beading and jewelry making by Deb, a friend of mine. Since then, the sky's been the limit in creating jewelry that matches what's in my wardrobe (to practice), then giving as gifts, and now I've moved on to selling my work.

My jewelry site is Handmade Beaded Jewelry and I'd like to invite you to take a look and see what I offer. I have some sets already made and ready for sale. I'd also like to invite you to let me know what you are looking for as to style, color, and length for a set that would suit YOU.

The Holidays are coming and giving a handmade beaded jewelry set is a great gift telling that person you were thinking of them.

Michelle and Santos - Wedding Ceremony

He Still Makes My Heart Go Pitter Patter!

Michelle and Santos - ceremonyMichelle's husband - I had to show off my handsome husband!

Santos is retired Navy - Communications and Military Police. He's still in the security field, just as a civilian, and I don't think he'll ever be able to get away from doing what he likes best, protecting people and property. I think it's just in his blood.

It would be a toss up to see who would get to the "bad guy" first if one of our kids was ever hurt, Santos or I!

He's a marshmallow when it comes to kids and animals and wants to bring home all the lost and wounded ones (most of our pets have been abandoned or abused) and we've taken in our share of teenage boys (since we have boys ourselves, we don't take in the girls, I help them find other places to stay) who need a place to sleep either overnight, a couple nights, to one child who stayed with us for almost a year. Kids that either didn't have a place to call home for a short while or those who were having problems/issues at home, or the parents had kicked them out. We only have a few rules that they have to follow and as long as they can follow those, they are welcome to stay with us.

First, was that they call a parent or adult to tell them where they are. Quite a few of these boys weren't 18 yet when they stayed with us, and I wanted to make sure their parents knew where they were. And, secondly, no drinking or drugs while they were staying with us.

Santos and I have tried counting the number of boys who have needed a bed for a bit and we came up with about 13 boys at last count. With my own boys getting older, and, of course, their friends and their circle of friends getting older, we haven't had any extras in the house for about a year now. Maybe we are home free?

The way we always looked at it, if any of our kids (I have 3 sons and Santos has 2) needed a place to stay for a night or two because of "whatever", we'd rather they had a place to stay instead of being on the street. Safety comes first, even before "hurt feelings".

Hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into our lives.

Reggy Pesola - Her Cancer Story

I've recently been introduced to Reggy Pesola's story. My son Derek's girlfriend, Deidra, has known Reggy most of her life since Sara, her mom, is Reggy's best friend. Reggy has a rare genetic form of cancer that displays itself as not just one kind of cancer, but multiple types.

When Reggy has a chemo treatment, Reggy has to have THREE different kinds of chemo to make up her treatment. Because of this condition, the insurance will not pay for Reggy to have innovative experimental cancer treatment that can potentially extend her life.

There are two ways to help Reggy Pesola. One is to donate to her PayPal account (reggycat@earthlink.net) or send a check/money order to 18202 Cole Bridge Court, Cypress, TX 77429 addressed to Reggy Pesola. The second way is to pass on her website address so others can read about Reggy and donate themselves. Her site address is http://squidoo.com/reggy-pesola-my-story.

Thank you and God Bless.

Michelle Introduces Replace My Job Now Methods, Systems (that work!), and Programs (that pay!)

One of My "Make Money With The Internet" Blogs

Michelle at home

Since Blog Maestro recently closed down due to not being able to stay open as a free blogging platform, I lost one of my more mature blogs. Silly me (I want to use another "s" word, but I refuse to beat myself up anymore, you learn from your mistakes and move on!) while I have many of my sites/blogs/lens backed up, that one particular blog of almost a year old and innumerable posts was NOT one of them!

Yeah, I know, not smart, and, boy, does that hurt!

So, please take a moment if YOU have any sites/blogs/lens that you haven't backed up yet and DO IT RIGHT NOW! Learn from MY mistake and you'll be better off (and no heartburn, either).

Saying that, I started a new blog today, same name, Replace My Job Now (will be backing up that puppy on a weekly basis from now on!) and I'll be adding a post most every day to try to get it back to what it once was.

Since I've "retired" myself from government, I've been working on the internet every day testing out programs, systems, and methods. I've bought all the books, the systems, the "you can't fail" products, etc., etc., etc. and it comes to this, forget all the "shiny" stuff (all the new programs, the get rich quick schemes, the best product, etc.) that comes through your email every day. Now, let me be clear, "Training Tools" and "Shiny Things" are completely different! Training is something everyone should invest in to learn how to be better and more knowledgeable. Tools are also different. Software or new advertising programs aren't shiny, but will help your marketing efforts.

Here's a link for free advertising that you may want to take advantage of. Send out at least one ad a day to ramp up your marketing campaign.

Put up a blog (or site or lens) and work it every single day, one post at a time, one promotion at a time, a few ads a day, enter your RSS feed into as many directories as possible, build as many back links as possible, and write as many articles as you can to as many different articles directories as you can. (if you don't know how to do any of these, go to Replace My Job Now) Don't even think of starting or creating another project until this one makes you money!

WHEN that happens (and it will if you do everything listed above), then and only then, will you put up another blog (or site or lens) and completely repeat everything you just did with the first one!

Don't let any of the above intimidate you, it's NOT hard, it's NOT expensive (I use all the free ways and that's what I teach you to do also) and once you do it a few times, it'll be a piece of cake. You'll wonder why you ever had a hard time.

I'll be adding posts daily on HOW to do ALL of the above things so YOU can start making some money from working online. I don't promise "get rich quick stuff" (they don't work, believe me, I'm like everyone else, I tried those too!), but I will show you how to consistently make a bit of money every month with one blog and then (like everyone else says) rinse and repeat until you are making the income you want to make to REPLACE MY JOB NOW!

So when you are ready to start your journey to making money online, join me at http://replacemyjobnow.blogspot.com.

See you there!

Michelle's Best Friend Jeff Singing the National Anthem

Here's a video of Jeff Morrall singing the National Anthem at a TSA Appreciation function during a Florida Marlin's game. Can you believe it, I had to NAG him to get that video on YouTube.

Believe me, if I had a voice like that, I'd be all over YouTube. LOL

Michelle and Jeff Doing the Internet Thing!

Come Visit Us

Michelle's friend Jeff

Jeff and I have created a website covering some of the cool internet things that we do together. While Jeff has sites of his own and so do I, we do have a few businesses that we do together. You can visit MicMor Enterprises to see what we brainstorm and come up with.

Swear to "you-know-who", we get more done when we spend a few hours together than anyone I know. We've created whole websites in under an hour, done major keyword searches, and just totally gotten knee deep in internet programs.

We have a total blast working together and my poor husband, Santos, gets dragged in every so often. He grumps and gets cranky, but admits that he has fun working with us, too. :)

Hope you enjoy your visit when you go to Michelle and Jeff's MicMor site.

Michelle Wants to Know! Anyone Need Help With Acid Reflux?

Being a recovered bulimic, yes, I've had acid reflux for YEARS!!!!! I've been on every single pill and potion out there to control it so I can sleep at night. Recently, I've come across a home remedy that WORKS! 1 tsp of baking soda, add a little bit of lemon to cut the taste, about 1/2 cup water, mix, and drink it down! IT WORKS on cutting down the acid in your stomach so you won't get heartburn or acid reflux! Try It!

Michelle's New Dog Diet and Info Site

Michelle and Santos Rescue Dogs

Michelle helps starving dogs

Michelle and Santos have rescued not only boys who are in need of a place to stay for a few nights (and up to a year), but dogs and cats that find themselves in a situation, through no fault of their own, where they need a home. It's not only people who end up homeless, but cats and dogs end up homeless, too.

Many of YOU probably do the same thing and help out animals in need of some assistance, whether it's food or shelter, long term or short term.

Here's a new site being added to on a weekly basis on dog diet and info that you may find interesting. Send me a short note in the Guestbook at the bottom of this page and let me know what you think about it.

Michelle's Affordable Websites - Made To Order

When You Don't Have The Time Or Inclination To Create A Site Yourself!

Michelle Lacroix Toro - Pelican PaddleboatYou may not have the time, the inclination, or the know-how, but you want a website where you can make a little extra money every month. You may want one of Michelle's Affordable Websites!

You've thought about it, right? Then you got to looking and just got confused because there is so much out there! What kind of site, ready made, one with lots of stuff in it, what program to promote, and the list goes on.

I create websites. I enjoy the process much more than sustaining a website which is the easy part. So I go with what I like and create websites for people who don't have the time or know how.

You give me a subject, maybe you like "birds" or even more specific you want one on the "care of parrots" and I'll take it from there. I'll do the research to find which words would make the best title to get you the most traffic every month, I'll build it up, index it for you (make sure the site gets to the search engines so when people look for "birds" they find YOUR site), and start getting back links (those things that Google likes to see so THEY send more traffic to you, too) to your site.

If you have a program you want to promote, I can use it to build your site and if you have no clue what you want, I'll give you choices and a recommendation on what I think would work better for you depending on the subject you'd like to have your site about.

How easy is that, right?

Pretty easy, in fact, I'm so easy going that I made easy look easy! (say that five times real quick!) LOL

My fee is $100 for a website (or $175 if you order 2 at the same time) and I'll have your site back to you, up and running within one week. If you can't pay via PayPal, then let me know and we can discuss alternative payment options. Other options may result in delivery of your website being delayed a bit.

If you'd like a website right now and don't care about the subject, I have two (2) websites available for sale right now.

Noise Reduction Headphone

Pelican Paddleboat (as of 7/20/10, this website is ranked #3 on Google for the keyword Pelican Paddleboat!) ***** There are also two other entries on page 2 of Google that point to this site! That's a lot of exposure to the Pelican Paddleboat site.

Please feel free to email me at micsan07@gmail.com and place the words AFFORDABLE WEBSITES in the subject line as I don't open email from those addresses I don't recognize.

Thank you,
Michelle
