Who is Mick Jagger: The Rolling Stones

Ranked #15,157 in Music, #425,665 overall

The World's A Stage

Mick Jagger is arguably the world's greatest frontman as lead singer of The Rolling Stones. His thin, wiry body jumps across the stage with grand theatrics, sweat trickling down his brow. The image of Mick Jagger with microphone in hand, singing to thousands of adoring fans, is iconic. His lips quickly became the trademark symbol for the band. It also represented their "kiss off" attitude to the establishment. The Rolling Stones were the counterpoint to the clean cut lads from Liverpool that America had embraced so readily. Mick Jagger, in contrast, embraced the blues and mixed it with rock music to create their unmistakeable sound. Often dark and full of pain, Jagger sang out the words for an audience that was hungry to devour him.

Mick Jagger is the conductor, the dream maker, the ringleader of the great rock 'n roll circus. All hail the king!
