Micro macrame jewelry or macrame jewelry. More than just friendship bracelets. From just a few little knots your imagination can create unique and exotic pieces of jewelry. The possibilities are endless. Necklaces, earrings, rings bracelets. Micro macrame has come along way since the days of macrame hanging baskets.

Micro macrame braceletMicro macrame or macrame is a textile technique used by making knots rather than weaving, knitting or crocheting. It an art which has been round since before the 13th century. Micro macrame jewelry became popular in the 60s and 70 with people making friendship bracelets. Today I have taken micro macrame further to create exotic and flamboyant designs. Some of my work is involves natural hemp yarn in both natural and black

Micro macrame is an addictive hobby but using only a small handful of knots such as the square knot, larks head knot and half hitch knot. Once you have mastered a few of the essential knots the world and your imagination is your oyster.
