What's Micro Franchising?

Business Franchise Magazine, Australia New Zealand first published my article What's Micro Franchising? I put myself out on a limb and so did the Editor at the time. In 2008, the time I proposed the idea, I was just back from Africa. The idea was a little ahead of it's time. Even now in Franchising circles in Australia, it feels a little awkward and foreign talking about Micro Franchising.
That isn't the case in Asia or Africa, where the populations are big and the drive to innovate to solve poverty is too.
After being published in Business Franchise Magazine, the article got picked up by iFranchiseAsia Magazine. My quest to observe and report on all things Micro has solidly commenced.
So why is Micro so fascinating? Stay tuned and keep updated on the contributions, if you are into for profit business models that have social impact for self reliance, you will no doubt get the bug. In the meantime, you can go back to where it all began at business franchise magazine.

Fresh back from the Philippines and full of a new batch of observations, I've just heard from my editor at iFranchiseAsia, that 'Micro Franchising As An Economic Saviour - 8 Reasons Why" is now out in the Jan/Feb 2012 edition.
As I write more on the trends I'm watching, here in the office, they call me Ms. Micro
