I Want to Build a MicroMouse

This project is something that fascinates me. I long to put one of these little robots together and to learn how to program it to run through a maze. I don't really know why, I guess there is something about creating something from a bunch of parts; creating something that can solve complex problems; not to mention they are just cool looking.

I tried to find as much information as I could on these little gizmos. When I find time and money, I may blog the building of my MicroMouse.

An Easier Project

You can draw a line with a black marker on a piece of paper and this little robot will follow it wherever it leads. Go ahead and buy this small project and you will have hours of fun putting it together and watching it run circles around itself.

These MicroMice are Fast!

And They Remember Where They Are Supposed to Go

These videos are fun. You get to watch the little robots learn the maze the first time through. Then the second time they run through the maze as fast as they can at full speed. It is amazing to watch how fast these thing can go.

The MicroMouse Pacman

All they need is a Ghost

Someone got innovative and made a pacman version of the MicroMouse. It had everything from the dots pacman eats to the ghosts that chase pacman around.

I Think I know the Answer.

I don't expect many people have done this. A Micromouse is a difficult thing to put together unless you are very educated in computers and electronics. I hope there are a lot of people who will want to attempt their hand at build one of them. Then we will have an army of MicroMice
