If you've ever wondered whether the food was greener on the other side of the fence, this is the blog for you! Inspired by the work and dedication of thespian legends Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in Southern Africa (not really, but mentioning the Brangelina will suposedly increase our search ranking), we set out to create new ways to entertain ourselves during the lunch hour at one of the world's leading technology companies.

No, there is no real point to any of it. It's just a couple of guys who thought it would be cool to visit each of the cafeteria's on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA, and...well...... it kind of ballooned into something else.

No animals were injured during the creation of this blog. Well, except for the ones we ate.

Why MSCT2k6?

It began with a simple dream: to visit every cafeteria on the Redmond, Washington campus of the world's largest software company. How many are there? At last count 22, but things are always growing around here. There's 24, if you include Redmond Town Center and Liberty (?) in downtown Bellevue (MS has office spaces, but no formal dining facilities....but there are penty of options around both).

How many Microsoft employees can say they've been to all of them? Not many. In fact, I haven't come across anyone. So we set out to make the dream a reality. And then someone suggested we blog about it....which snowballed into vblogging, swag, and fake press releases.

Where does it end? A couple of us travel the world -- and our goal is to include as many international facilities as possible. We're always looking for guest authors, so drop us a line. Or...maybe you have photos and stories of MS cafeterias from years back. We want those, as well.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Ok, the Lincoln Square cafeteria is now officially the coolest spot in the extended campus, located in downtown Bellevue, tandoori oven and all.

When not talking about himself in third-person, Christian is reading science fiction, tearing something down / building something on the house, or dominating his 6 year old on the basketball court.

Born and raised in the San Francisco East Bay, Christian has a BA in Marketing and an MBA in Technology Management, and he was recently hired as a Sr. Program Manager for Microsoft. His latest job (and passion) is around SharePoint, LCS, and Office 12.

He's never laughed until milk shot out of his nose, but he aspires to.
