Scandinavian design ranges from cool and sleek to naturalistic and organic. Here you will find items from Iittala and Nuutajarvi Notsjo in Finland, Kosta Boda and Orrefors in Sweden, and Holmegaard in Denmark. Designers include Timo Sarpaneva, Tapio Wirkkala, Kaj Franck, Sven Palmquist, and Per Lutken.
Italian glass is more flamboyant, featuring vibrant colors and extravagant shapes. At any time we may have pieces from some of the best glass houses in Murano, such as AVEM, Cenedese, and Venini. Designers include Dino Martens, Archimede Seguso, and Carlo Mortti.
American makers also took the atomic age to heart, designing sleek midcentury modern designs. Browse through glass from Blenko and Morgantown and shop our array of tableware from designer Russell Wright.

- Blenko #5519s Vase in Mulberry by Wayne Husted
- Beautiful hand blown vase from Blenko. This great piece was designed by Wayne Husted in 1955 and shows great mid-century modern style! The color is a lovely soft purple called Mulberry. The vase has an unfinshed pontil and some trapped air bubbles, both characteristics of Blenko's handblown glass.
- Viking Glass Epic Line Freeform Vase in Teaberry
- A wonderful free form vase from Viking's wonderful Epic line. This is #6707 (footed vase). The color is a fantastic vivid pink with purple undertones, called Teaberry. This is a gorgeous piece in a rare color!
- Russel Wright Morgantown American Modern Glassware
- This line of glassware was designed by Russel Wright to go with the American Modern tableware from Steubenville Pottery. This is an iconic example of Wright's work and exemplifies the sleek simple look of mid-century modern design.

- Kaj Franck Blue Glass Vase Nuutajarvi Notsjo Finland
- A stunning vase from designer Kaj Franck for Nuttajarvi Notsjo. It has a tapering cased body of smoky blue on a heavy clear glass base. In sunlight there are purple tones in the blue. The base is signed, "K Franck Nuutajarvi Notsjo - 62".
- Sven Palmquist Orrefors Bird Etched Bud Vase
- A lovely bud vase designed by Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors in Sweden. The teardrop shaped vase is decorated with a bird perched in a stylized tree. This piece is truly elegant in it's simplicity!
- Kosta Smoke Blue Creamer and Sugar Bowl
- A stunning cream and sugar set from Kosta Glasbruk in Sweden. This lovely, pair is made of very thin blown glass. The color varies with the light from ice blue to steel grey. The creamer is round at the bottom but oval at the top. The form of both pieces is stunningly beautiful in it's simplicity and delicacy. I believe this set dates to the 1950's. It comes complete with the original box.

- Alfredo Barbini Sommerso Pink and Blue Shell Dish
- A wildly flamboyant piece from Alfredo Barbini. This stunning shell shaped ashtray or dish is made of thick layers of bright pink and smoky blue glass. The color is constantly changing as the piece is viewed from different angles.
- Blue Opaline Bottle Decanter Murano Italy
- Here is a gorgeous piece of Italian opaline glass. The maker is unknown but Achemede Seguso in Murano Italy, did a lot of this type of translucent glass in the 1950's and 60's. This bottle is a lovely soft violet-blue color (periwinkle).
- Uranium Glass Sommerso Horse Head Sculpture
- A stunning horse head sculpture in uranium glass with a core of blue. The piece is highly UV reactive and glows brilliantly under blacklight. This piece is most likely from one of the better glass houses in Murano, Italy.
