Mike Oldfield - the famous creator of one and only "Tubular Bells"
Tubular Bells was Mike Oldfield's most famous work. The instrumental composition was recorded in 1972 and launched on 25 May, 1973
The album quickly reached the Top 10 of the UK album chart and has spent 279 weeks on the chart to date, a figure bettered by only ten other albums in chart history. With 2,575,000 copies sold in the UK, it's at No. 28 on the all-time list of the best selling albums in the UK. In the U.S., it also got attention, but chiefly by appearing in the soundtrack to The Exorcist, which gave Mike Oldfield a Grammy award for Best Instrumental Composition in "Tubular Bells - Theme From The Exorcist" (1975).

- Mike Oldfield and his Tubular bells are great. This is so much different from main stream popular music, almost never played on radio, but yet so Great.
