A small monster built like a tennis ball, Mike Wazowski works as Sulley's assistant on the scare floor at Monsters Inc. Sulley's job is to scare children, whose screams power the city; Mike's job is to summon the closet doors for Sulley to go through.
Mike is chatty and generally good-natured. He also has a temper, is a bit self-absorbed, and keeps forgetting to file his paperwork.

- He's funny. He cracks more wise than anybody else in Monsters Inc. He's even better at slapstick.
- He doesn't let anything get in the way of enjoying his five minutes of fame. Put him on the cover of a magazine, and he'll be so ecstatic that he won't even notice that you covered him up with a bar code.
- He looks like a tennis ball. I'm not exactly sure WHY that makes him endearing, but it does.
