My Full-time Profession was in the automotive field. For 14+ years I was in the retail end the business. I had managed some of the largest auto dealers in the USA. I loved working in the "car business" and it was tough to leave when things started to take off online.
Turning Point: 08/05/2004
This was the day I left my full time job at the auto dealer. I am now pursuing online marketing fulltime as I have achieved greater wealth online than I ever dreamed possible. Online marketing has made me a Millionaire in just 3 short years.
The business had now grown from a spare bedroom to a 2nd new office and a staff of 23 people that help me run our 40 + sites.
To me, the most important thing now is quality of life. A nice income makes it easier to have, but if you leave no time to enjoy it- you could be worse off than when you started.
I have learned a lot of marketing and sales experience in the automotive field. I handled many of the advertising for my dealership. And in the past I was the head sales trainer for a 13 store auto group. I have taken many courses on sales and negotiating and phone selling skills.
I have been able to apply many of the sales and marketing tactics I have learned over the last 14 years and implement them into my online marketing. My online success has come very quickly.
The Start of My Online Journey
I started online marketing in October of 2002. My first purchase was a product called Instant Internet Empires. It taught me how to get started and was real good for the newbie. But I had to learn many other techniques on my own. I am a student of "How to" books and self improvement. I am always looking for that edge to take myself and my projects to the next level. So I encourage you to be brave enough to purchase quality products that you come across that will enhance your life.
My First Web Page Online
I came to realize the importance of squeeze pages to capture the name and email address of my visitors. This was a real breakthrough for me. So, I built my first web page in March 2003. Take a look at that first site:

I sent all the free traffic I could find to that squeeze page. It's a free sign up, but I started making about $5,000 a month very quickly on the backend.
My First Make Money Online eBook package
By June 2003 I released my first info product that included an ebook and video tutorials that showed people what I did to gain success up to that point and how to "carbon copy" my success step-by-step. Take a look at that site here:

The release of this product really changed everything for me. People begain viewing me as an expert, instead of a newbie.
My First Exposure to the One Time Offer Concept
In August 2003 a new site was launched that used a technique I hadn't seen before. That technique was a "one time offer" presented to free opt-in subscribers. Mike Chen, who was the webmaster at the time, purchased the html code from a Mark Joyner product released just a month earlier. The site is still running at:

Here It Gets Interesting
In November 2003 I created the best deal ever membership website, which will act as a one time offer for other sites I will build. One of the keys to a one time offer is to show the product is selling on its own at a higher price. So I priced the package at $47 on its own and at $19 when used as a one time offer. Later I adjusted the one time offer price to $27.

The Butterfly Marketing Idea
John Reese launches his Traffic Secrets course in August 2004 and had his famous 1 Million Dollar Day. Then a few days later he releases a special report about his success, which encourages others to have their own 1 Million Dollar Day.
I have an idea for a new site and register the domain for butterflymarketing.com on 08/31/2004.
The thing I want you to realize is I didn't launch the site until 01/31/2006. That's about one year and a half after I registered the domain name. Success online is easy, but still requires work.
Meanwhile in 2004...
October 2004 I pre-launch a new site:

This is the first time I ever do a pre-launch for a site. We got 5,000 members in a few days. The site launched later in the month. I made $75,000 on launch day. This would be my first $100,000 month.
All my opt-in lists combined would approach 100,000 subscribers. At this point I would consider myself a Super Affiliate. My list was so huge, that almost every affiliate product I promoted I became the number 1 or 2 or 3 top affiliate for the product.
Time to Start Networking
In December 2004 I launched a site that I promoted to the members of the Warrior Forum. It's was just a way for me to meet other internet marketers that happen to live in same geographic area as me. I offered to teach some of my marketing insights gained to this point. I felt pretty confident doing so since I'm making more online than I was as a car salesman. Take a look at that site here:

What's important about this marketing breakfast is I met someone who will become a dear friend, Mike Ambrosio. He was and is a very popular member of the Warrior Forum. I also met Cody Moya who was creating a lot of software products at the time. These relationships will turn profitable later.
2005 Was a Great Year
In January of 2005 Stephan Pierce invites me to attend his "Unleash Your Marketing Genius" Seminar Event. At this event I meet a ton of other well know online internet marketers. More relationships are established that turn profitable later.
