Create a Miracle with a Charm

Milagros are small metal (such as gold, silver, copper, bronze and tin) charms representing different parts of the body and symbols of daily life. The word milagro means miracle. The charms have been used as sympathetic magic in parts of Spain and Italy since the 5th century. Now they are more widely found in Mexico and New Mexico. Mixed media artists have started using them in collages.

The traditional way to use a milagro is to add one to an altar, especially on or near the image of a saint, for whichever purpose you want help with.

These two web pages explain what a milagro is very well:

This was a very interesting lens for a number of reasons, but one being I didn't know what Milagro meant, and I know somebody who used that as part of his business name. Now that I grasp the meaning, it makes a lot more sense. Very nicely done!
