Miley Cyrus also knows as Hannah Montana is a beautiful pop singer and actress. Miley is best known for starring as the main character in the series Hannah Montana.
Miley was born in Nashville Tennessee on November 23, 1992 to Leticia and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus' parents named her Destiny Hope because they knew that she would one day accomplish great things. When she was a baby her parents called her "Smiley" because she smiled allot and that was later shortened to "Miley".
Miley took her first step to becoming Hannah Montana when she showed interest in acting at the age of 9. She started taking acting classes at the Armstrong Acting Studio while she lived with her family in Toronto, Canada. Her first actual experience was when she played Kylie on her father's television series Doc. She then went on to play "Young Ruthie" in Tim Burton's Big Fish.
Hannah Montana first aired on March 24, 2006 in the United States and averaged more than 4 million viewers per episode.Because of the fame Hannah Montana brought Miley she easily went on to a successful career in music. On 24 October Walt Disney Records released the first Hannah Montana soundtrack. It was hugely successful ! The album debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 and sold 281,000 copies in its first week, beating artists such as My Chemical Romance. Miley's first tour "the Best of Both Worlds Tour" lasted from October 18, 2007 to January 31, 2008 with 69 concerts across the United States. The tickets were all sold out in record time. On July 2008 Miley Cyrus released her second album "Breakout". Breakout also debuted at #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart first week sales being 371,000. The difference this time was that she co-wrote all but 2 of the songs proving that she can both sing and write amazing music.
