Ka-Bar USMC Combat KnifeThe original WWII USMC fighting knife, was made by famous knife maker Ka-Bar and manufactured to original United States War Department specifications In addition to use by the U.S. Marine Corps, it is also a favorite of knife choice for outdoor adventurers and knife collectors. The new versions of the USMC Fighting Knife produced by Ka-Bar still features the dependability and quality of the knives produced for wartime use.

The modern day version of this famous military fighting knife features a seven inch blade made of high carbon 1095 steel, hardened to resist breakage under severe pressure and has a black epoxy coating to protect the blade and prevent light reflection. The blade features a razor sharp cutting edge, and the secondary edge above the prominent swedge, are hand honed and polished. The blade features excellent edge retention and can easily be restored when dulled, even in the field. The leather handle is formed by stacked leather discs, compressed under great pressure. This creates a knife handle so solid, it resists absorbing moisture or contamination of any kind and is highly shock proof. The handle is topped with a 3/8" solid steel pommel. The results produce a knife almost incapable of being destroyed. Truly a combat battle tested knife, made in the USA that comes equipped with a leather cowhide sheath.     These are all great knives, the only other one I was hoping to see was the projectile bladed knife. I saw one a few years ago on the history channel. It's a heavy military style combat knife, but has a switch that releases the blade as it slides out (similar to a switchblade) projecting it up to 20ft. (It may just be illegal to own, since I can't find it anywhere)
