So why should you, the average person, not in the military, consider a pair of military glasses.
The simple answer to this is VERSITILITY
To briefly explain this let me tell you how they are better than the average pair of sunglasses.
1. UV protection - Want to save your eyes then UV protection is a must. Most glasses do not have this or have a poor grade of it. This is a standard with all military glasses and the ones on this page have the best UV protection as any other top range glasses.
2. Ballistic protection - While you may not be facing shrapnel from an explosion there are many other everyday occurrences that military glasses can protect you from. A stick flying into your eyes while mowing the lawn, a stone being thrown up from the road and much more. Ballistic glasses can stop shotgun pellets so they can save your eyes in everyday accidents.
3. Durability - While most glasses will crack and snap when sat on, dropped or looked at the wrong way, military glasses will take alot of punishment before even scratching. After all they are made to stop small projectiles.

And the winner is...ESS Crossbow
Having tried and experienced all the eyewear shown on this lens, the one I recommend above others is the Ess Crossbow. Most of the sunglasses rate very similarly is terms of UV, ballistic and crush protection and this one is no different. The difference that make these stand out however is the comfort, coverage and interchangeability. They are very well fitted and have a strap to ensure they never come off when you need them to stay on in the heat of battle. They also work well with headwear, radios and heading protection. They cover a wide area of the eyes and this offers the best protection. The lens are also easily interchangeable and the pack comes with clear, yellow and grey lens.
