Milk Thistle Caps
Milk Thistle is one of the most well known tonic herbs for the liver, possessing powerful positive effects on overall liver function and protection of this important organ from toxic damage. Milk Thistle also has beneficial effects on the stomach, gall bladder, and spleen. Our product is standardized to 80% silymarin flavanoids (active ingredient).
It's very important to take milk thistle in a concentrated capsule form and not just as the seed in a tea because milk thistle has poor water solubility. The result is the tea is not nearly as effective as taking a milk thistle extract capsule.
Milk Thistle and Animals

Many people choose to give milk thistle to their pets and animals when they are suffering from liver conditions. Horses are often fed the seed which can be added to their meal.
I have had a couple of my clients come in with sick dogs. Their vets said the dogs liver enzyme levels were through the roof and they were at a loss for possible cures. One months after giving the dog milk thistle, the liver enzyme levels were back in a health range.

- Thanks for the informative article about Milk Thistle. I've just read that an Iranian study has shown that milk thistle can lower blood sugar in diabetics. This is good new among its other health benefits.
