About MILLENNIUM
MILLENNIUM was the second television series created by Chris Carter, the man who created the X-Files.The main character was Frank Black, played by actor Lance Henriksen. Black was a former FBI profiler who had an ability to really see into the minds of killers. This gave him more than just intuition, although that was often just how he explained himself to his colleagues.
Burned out from what he saw, Black left his position as a profiler with the FBI in Washington DC and moved with his wife and daughter to Seattle to start a new life. There he is contacted by Peter Watts (Terry O'Quinn) and the Millennium Group. They never totally say what the Millennium Group does, but it's hinted to be a wide ranging association, with connections to both government and the private sector which is concerned with the millennial predictions and mysticism, and a growing wave of crimes and strange instances which they feel are connected to the coming turn of the millennium.
They are aware of Frank's actual abilities and want him to join the group as a consultant. The episodes are a mix of him investigating things for the group, and consulting on especially violent crimes for the Seattle police department.

- In 1996, "X-Files" creator Chris Carter presented a new series called "Millennium" to the TV viewing public. It contained no supernatural elements like "X-Files," but instead concentrated on the horrors of the real world. The end of the current millennium was drawing to an end, and a healthy end-of-the-world paranoia lived in the psyche of the public at large.
