So great to learn more about Millenium Promise. I've been seeing more and more of them online now. I became a fan of 'All About Gifts & Baskets' :) Great job with this lens.

Janice, I was glad to see you featured MDG here. I just wished I saw this earlier. Will see where I can feature this in my lenses. It is important that people know. Cambodia is doing well in health, education, poverty alleviation and gender. Many countries are still not meeting their goals in important areas.

Such an important topic - we should hear more about this on TV, instead of all the celebrity gossip

Great lens! Its always important to raise awareness about extreme poverty. I'm poor, but I know that I am not in comparison to some people in some locations in the world. There are food banks, social programs, and that sort of thing here. In some places, you just starve and its not even possible to garden or do that sort of thing to eat. Its awful. I can't even imagine true starvation.

I'm very impressed with your well-researched and heartfelt lens! It's a blessing to know that you didn't let the sheer overwhelming-ness of your situation AND that of Malawi's (and other sub-Saharan country's) impoverished children stop you in your tracks.

While on a very much smaller scale, we're also doing a labor of love in the "Warm Heart of Africa"... working to make a difference in the lives of orphaned and destitute children.

Definitely worthy of at least 5*, lensroll, and my faves for you! :-)

Yes! I agree! I also believe in Jeffrey Sach's work. Have you read his newest book, Common Wealth? While I do not have a small business that can join your ladder team, I do make donations to the Earth Institute in support of the Millennium Villages.
