I clearly remember when I first "spotted" MiMi on Squidoo. Like me she had a "simpsonized" avatar, but unlike me, she got rid of it a lot quicker! The first lens that made an impact on me was Teach Children Character, then the next one that had me howling with laughter was The best Squidoo lens NOT to do , which I have featured on several of my own Squidoo Tips lenses and which is a worthy Lens of the Day.

But it was not until around a year ago that I really started to get to know MiMi. She contacted me and asked me, along with Joan Adams, to help her start up a new networking group: 10-Finity. Since then we have worked closely together on several projects, including The Squidoo Step by Step Guidebook and setting up the Professional Squids, which were originally on Ning, but which now has its own site embedded into the 10-Finity site.

We have cussed (yep, really) and we have picked each other up and dusted each other down. But much of the time we have laughed together.

MiMi, you are one of my dearest friends on Squidoo and I am priviledged to have you in my life. We share many Squidoo ups and downs and many personal ones as well. Your friendship is so precious to me.

Who the heck is MiMi?

MiMi aka GrowWear has been an inspiration to so many on Squidoo. She continually works to "Give Back" and does this by encouraging and promoting other lensmaster's work. She teaches all of us, through her very generous actions, the importance of being a contributing part of the Squidoo Community.

Who is MiMi? I am proud to say that MiMi is a great friend even though we have never met face to face. She is also a friend to Friends of the Park in Pendleton SC, my favorite charity and a very worthwhile cause.

I first met MiMi when we were both going for Giant Squid back in 2009. She would post in SquidU along with so many others of us who were trying to achieve those magic 50 lenses that were quality enough to get that glorious badge. What I found in MiMi was a generous soul who reached out to everyone and seemed to promote others before herself. She so giving, sweet, and very funny sometimes with her comments.

In July 2009, MiMi contacted me and asked if I would like to be a part of her Giant Greeter team as a coach on TeamOne. I was honored for the invitation and delighted to get to know MiMi better while we worked together to help others as they tried to achieve Giant Squid. For me, this is when our friendship really gelled. What a hard working and dedicated woman she turned out to be! She is so very giving of her time, thoughtful, and considerate.

Since our first encounters here on Squidoo, MiMi and I have become very good friends. I'm a member of the group that she founded 10-finity and have worked with her in creating the group Professional Squids.

MiMi created a blog that promotes Squidoo lensmasters called Squidoo Lens Review that shows just how giving she is. Every day Monday through Friday you will find a post promoting someone else's work.

MiMi is the real deal, folks. Genuine, generous, witty, and awesome!

So, my dear sweet lady...thank you for who you are! Thank you for your wonderful friendship, your leadership, and your dedication!

What can I say about Mimi that hasn't been said a thousand times before? She makes great lenses and contributes to the promotion of the best squidoo lenses with her blog.
