Great intro - and some good detail - on the value of mind maps. I still bounce back and forth between apps and pen/paper. Some great resources here.

    Thanks for sharing.

Marelisa this is such a wonderful lens! I have had an interest in mind mapping for a while, I even checked out a library book on the subject, but never was able to really get into the idea. You have presented it so well that it now makes sense! Thank you so much for the great information!

I've never tried mind mapping; I tend to be a VERY left-brained person. I'm curious to see how this would play out for me.

I'm giving this lens an Angel blessing and will feature it on my SquidAngel At Your Service lens.

I love this! I use mind mapping all the time, and was looking for information to write an article about it. Thanks for a fantastic resource. Great work.

How incredibly interesting! I just think I might try this.

Great lens! I have subscribed to your blog and also enjoyed the blog post concerning mind-mapping there.

Very interesting! I'm an artist so it's easy for me to think in pictures. In fact that's how I figure out things, by seeing it being done. I guess I've been mind mapping inside my head and didn't know it. Cool lens.

My favorite mind mapping software is MindManager. Easy to use, yet powerful. I even use it to build and optimize my Squidoo lenses.

Thanks for this really useful information. We have been using a similar technique within homeschooling for the girl's report writing. This really refines what we do, and will be a great improvement for all of us. 5*, more if I could!

This is a very good concept, try to see with your mind, visualizing, is very powerful, you will memorize easier, and even understand a concept quickly

Thanks for this lens; you really used Seth's 3Us.
    Regards

You obviously benefit from mind mapping. I hadn't read anything before about it but enjoyed your lens very much. I'll be back to check it out more. I know just the (private-problem) issue to try it out on!!

Very interesting and well done. I used to tutor students with learning disabilities and used my version of mind mapping a lot.

Excellent Lens! The mind map reminds me of the old sentence diagraming we did in the sixth grade back in the early 60s to break down a sentence into nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc. It is the same principle. I had never seen a mind map before and thought it quite interesting! I use association all the time in remembering details, phone numbers, addresses, etc. Mind maps are an excellent tool. 5*

I'm a fan of Mind Mapping. It's a great way to get a fresh perspective and keep a sense of order, even in a cluttered house. Good job on your lens.
