Using Mind Power Techniques

Throughout history many of the most successful individuals had used mind power techniques to manifest the success and prosperity in their lives. Amazingly, many of these successful people did not even realize they were using mind power techniques that all; they were simply fortunate enough to naturally take advantage of the power of their subconscious mind without giving it much thought at all.

Winston Churchill was a good example of this. Churchill often spoke of his daily regimen of concentrating the full power of his mind on the desired outcome that he wanted in a given situation. He famously told a reporter once, "we create our own universe as we go along," when asked about the secret to his success.

Henry Ford, the father of the modern automobile, also seemed to naturally understand the power of the subconscious mind, and was famous for using a variety of mind power techniques. Ford used to say, "whether you think you can, or you think you can't -- either way you are right."

Even wise old Benjamin Franklin, one of the architects of the American Revolution and founding fathers of the United States understood how to use mind power techniques to manifest success and prosperity. "The thought is the ancestor of all action," said Franklin, referring to the enormous power available to each of us, once we become disciplined in using disciplined are God-given mind power.

These are just three examples of successful world-famous individuals who manifested great things in their lives through the use of mind power. But for those of us who were not lucky enough to be born with a predisposition toward using our subconscious in a positive and powerful way to attract success, we can still learn to use the same mind power techniques as some of the greatest individuals throughout history. The key lies in unlocking the potential of the subconscious mind.

There are in fact many techniques to unlock the power of your mind. Sustained concentration -- or meditation, if you will -- is one of these techniques. Another would be the use of visualization, or guided visualization, to "see" the outcome you would like as if it had already occurred.

These days, the use of subliminal commands, suggestions and affirmations has become very popular. In these modern mind power techniques can be extremely powerful, as they bypass the conscious mind, in order to register deeply in the subconscious mind. Psychologists estimate that approximately 80 to 90% of our behaviors are influenced by the subconscious, NOT what we consciously think, say or do. This means that we are basically unaware of the reasons why we do much of all we do.

But by learning to use mind power techniques, and utilize the power of the subconscious mind, we can influence our behaviors and our mindset from a much deeper level. It knows this is one in tested method of "reprogramming" the subconscious mind. Hypnosis has been used in clinical situations to help cure individuals of phobias and irrational fears, to break bad habits, such as smoking, alcohol and gambling addictions, and even to improve issues such as anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

Hypnosis and self hypnosis can both be very effective self-help tools for many individuals, as these mind power techniques appealed directly to the subconscious mind while the subject is in a highly suggestive hypnotized state.

In the Internet era, it is even possible to download self hypnosis audio files, and software programs and videos containing powerful subliminal suggestions to improve a variety of issues from weight loss to smoking cessation. Even stubborn mental habits such as acute shyness or social anxiety can be improved by the use of mind power techniques, to effectively influence a person to be "naturally" more social and relaxed among other people.

The bottom line is, when used correctly, there are virtually dozens of mind power techniques that had been shown to have a positive effect on behavior, and increase an individual's quality of life. While some of these techniques may require you to work with a qualified professional -- such as a hypnotherapist -- others are available on CD, DVD, or are directly downloadable from the Internet. This gives anyone the opportunity to try a variety of powerful mind power techniques and judge the results for themselves.
