Minecraft - Construct You Ideas

Ranked #2,529 in Games, #99,396 overall

What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a construction game (which reminds me Lego) created by Markus Persson , a founder of Mojang Specifications. Minecraft provides a first-person view to users. Therefore, users can indirectly experience mining, building, or even hunting while playing the game.

The best feature of the game is that users can freely create their own world. By using a three-dimensional block, users can reproduce an ancient kingdom or a water city. Also, they can cooperate to draw up a world by accessing to a multi-player server, or they can enjoy single play without connecting to the internet.

Since May 2009, Minecraft is under development and currently available in a beta version. From the Minecraft website, the game can be purchased at 14.95 EUR (pre-purchasing price during beta), and once the development is finished, it will be sold at 20.00 EUR.

Notch's Inspiration from Infiniminer

InfiniminerMinecraft was created after Markus Persson (Nick Name: Notch) was inspired by a construction game called Infiniminer (2009).

Similar to Minecraft, Infiniminer was a block-based building game. However, a gaming goal of Infiniminer was different from Minecraft's.
Infiniminer gamers were divided into several teams, and by digging and obtaining various types of metals, they could add points to their team. Since Infiniminer was the very competitive game, gamers could not freely create their own characterful world.

How To Play Minecraft

In the three-dimensional surrounding areas consisted of distinctive blocks, gamers can play the game by destroying blocks and creating items according to unique combinations of blocks. For instance, destroying an object such a tree and collecting wood blocks are the main activity to play the game. This Distinctive blocks are used to create items such as a pickaxe, a hoe, a fishing rob, a sword, a torch and even more. This tools help gamers build their world more efficiently. Also, many types of animals and monsters stimulate gamers' sense of exploration.

Within a virtual world, various activities such as hunting, farming, constructing, fishing, and mining expend the degree of freedom in the game.

How Big Is Minecraft?

A map of Minecraft is very similar to the real world. Mountains, desert, caves, and even lakes are materialized in the virtual world. Therefore, while playing Minecraft, any users may be curious about how big the Minecraft world is.

The exact size of Minecraft is not known. Thus, a lot of rumors exist; the world of Minecraft is 1.6 times or even possibly 8 times bigger than the Earth. Since the Earth's circumference is 40,041 km, the world of MineCraft may be unimaginably large, If one of the rumors is true.

However, the credible answer is that the Minecraft world is infinite. From the beginning when a gamer starts Minecrafting, the capacity of Minecraft is 263 KB (Beta 1.7.3. Version). Afterwards, the capacity increases as the gamer explores the world more and more.

How to Get Minecraft?

Minecraft is now sold in the MineCraft Homepage (www.minecraft.net). After the purchase, buyers can download a launcher for Minecraft from theh homepage. Afterwards, the game will automatically update Minecraft with the latest version.
