Original Miniature Paintings and ACEOs

I create miniature paintings of cats, birds, rabbits as well as mythical beings such as fairies, mermaids, and angels. These little paintings are called ACEOs What are ACEOs you ask? Keep reading! Each miniature painting is always and only 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. I sell these miniature art gems on eBay and through my Online Gift Shop. I also make high quality Giclee prints of my miniature paintings which I sell through eBay. From my Online Gift Shop store I sell the miniature art on refrigerator magnets, ceramic art tiles, framed art, jewelry boxes, and other gifts items.

I try to have 3 original miniature paintings on eBay auction at any given time

Each miniature painting is lovingly created by the artist, (me!) and then sold on eBay auction. After the original sells, I create high quality prints called Giclee which I also sell in my eBay store. My customers have a choice of art that ranges in price from under $5.00 up to $200.00. So there is something for every art collector. ACEOs are affordable and so small you can carry your own art gallery in your wallet!

ACEOs - A Flourishing Art Form Born on eBay by Nino, eBay Staff Member

Inspired by the familiar baseball card format with sports collectibles, but in 2004, a new art form was born on eBay. A group of innovative artists created a variation of the traditional baseball card format called the Art Cards Editions and Original, or ACEOs for short. Almost two years later, ACEOs are flourishing. More and more people are collecting ACEOs; art supply stores are beginning to stock specialized materials that help artists create them. Perhaps most significantly, art critics are beginning to take notice of these small yet exquisite works of art

Art For Critters 

This is an outstanding group of artists who donate a portion of their proceeds to animal charity.

I am a proud juried member (and now co-leader) of this fine group. A4C (Art for Critters) has been formed with the express purpose of connecting wildlife and animal artists with the Rescues and Organizations that provide sanctuary and aid to animals across the globe. This is a little bio. my sweet sis wrote for me:


Is Melody an artist who can also talk to animals-or a lover of fur and paws who also draws like a dream? Her fans can't tell where one gift ends and another begins. All they know is that the combination has led to some pretty interesting life circumstances, from teaching art in a chicken coop to composing watercolors on horseback. And that may also be why Melody's renderings of fairies and forest vistas seem as alive as her portraits of horses and cats.
All creatures great or small, real or imaginary, inspire Melody's brush.
Having done her time at art school and the gallery scene, with a successful series of commissions along the way, Melody now paints miniature masterpieces in the Berkshire Mountains while tending to a menagerie that includes a horse, a husband, three cats, two kids, and a dog, all of whom have modeled for her at one point or another. Melody's newest work is available on eBay through Art Cards, Editions and Originals (ACEO)
