What determines a good set of Mini Barn Plans?

First the plans should be easy to understand. They should be laid out step by step with diagrams, to help you understand.

Next, the plans should contain a list of all the materials..right down to the last nail! You shouldn't have to guess about anything.

Now, you want plans with a guarantee that they are exactly what you need to build your Mini Barn. You should be able to easily understand everything. With the materials list, go to the hardware store and let the employees there help you get everything. The "cut chart" will specify all the wood measurements and at what length it should be cut.

Picking the paint or stain type and color are ultimately up to you. And of course you will need basic tools, such as a hammer, drill, skill saw, measuring tape, building square, level etc.. If you do not have these tools, it would be a good idea to get them since you will probably be so pleased with your work that you will want to build something else.
