Isn't it frustrating to get credit card chargebacks?

If you found a way of minimizing credit card chargebacks, I'm sure you would look into it as any kind of chargeback, legitimate or not, is not something you as a business owner like to contend with. Not to mention losing the money, you've also lost the inventory. The less chargebacks, the better. It's worse when that chargeback is due to fraud! That's a horrible feeling knowing you were ripped off and that someone else could have been ripped off too.

Are you at risk? 

If your business has an online store, then you are at risk. The merchant, you the business owner, carries all the liability during an online transaction. But if the transaction was handled in person, then you have some leverage there in case of a dispute.

Protecting yourself from fraud 

Of course, your online store is going nowhere, it's staying right where it is supposed to be. But you are going to look for solutions to minimize the risk of loss.

The best deterrent is a keen eye. Keep your eye on your transactions and if you notice something fishy, something suspicious look into before it goes through.
