- Waves have actually gone over the top of the lighthouse in storms, with nothing more than strong vibration occuring within the lighthouse.
- Automated in 1947, the lighthouse can now be seen for 15 miles.

- I got drawn into the page by an I Love You light! Never heard of that before. This lighthouse must have been pretty scary to live in before 1947! Great lens, which I am lensrolling to Whitby and Robin hoods Bay - plus, nearly forgot - blessed by an angel today :)

- I Love Lighthouses...I remember a few years back they announced they were closing most of the lighthouses to concerve(whatever) this gives me the incentive to paint a painting of a lighthouse, something I've always wanted to do....great lens...5*
