Isn't it miserable not get to spend money?

A person like him who has wealth, status and ability may also have some wisdom. He is a person who plans a trip every year. He had planned his trips a year ahead. Most of his trips were expensive and luxurious trips abroad. He had asked me, in several occasions, to join his trips which would mean that I have to bring my wife along. It will cost me double for our trip.

I told him that spending money on a 10-day luxury cruise costs me a lot. His reply stroked me which I remember up to now, "Money not spent, is not yours." The value that we get in exchange of our money maybe materialistic or a service in nature which improves our life in certain ways.
Unless you spend your money will you be able to get the value that you need or want. The amount of wealth that you may have does reflect the value of your life. The more money you may have, the more money you can spend increases the value further.
