Become Involved It could happen to your child
It is horrible. Children are going missing and ending up in strange countries as s** workers or worst dead. Please become involved and stop this cycle of abuse against children. In South Africa we have a massive amount of children disappearing. Teach your child the basics of survival. Let your children know the reasons for you checking up on them. Once a child is gone, you can never replace them. As my motto goes:
Each of us are unique as there is only one of us. The hole left inside for all the loved ones left behind is so bad. You never want to go through it.
Stop Children being abducted, abused, kidnapped and all other abusive behaviour that is leaving a dent in our society.
Children are and will always be our most valued asset in life. They are our future. Keep them safe and secure.

THE MISSING CHILDREN'S LOVED ONES WISHES YOU A PROSPEROUS 2008
Missing children is a worldwide problem.
This is the letter that was sent out. I can tell you just reading the Headline made me cry.
READ THE LETTER:
""THE MISSING CHILDREN'S LOVED ONES WISHES YOU A PROSPEROUS 2008:
We hope you had a very nice holiday and festive season. For those of you that stayed at home and worked, we hope that was fruitful as well. We would like to wish you all a very prosperous New Year.
We had a very silent festive season concerning Missing children and are very grateful for that.
During 2007 we had a success rate of 86% in recovering missing children.
This, however, would not have been possible without YOU, our eyes and ears, and we hope to have your continued support and vigilance during 2008. We will strive to make our communication through this wonderful medium more often this year. The few newsletters and notifications during 2007 proved to have huge successes and we again want to thank you, because without your participation it would not have been.
Please invite all your friends and family to become part of this project by subscribing to our newsletter, after all it is free and will help us find missing children much faster.
I want to start off this year with information about a 3 year old child that has been found abandoned in Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal. Please have a look at his photograph and distribute it to as many as you can. Remember somewhere in South Africa there is parents looking for their child and having to live with the trauma associated with something worst than death.
The only information we can get from this little boy is as follows:
Name: Velapi
Surname: Unknown
Age: Approx. 3 Years
Father's name: Aaron
Address: "Meki's House next to a Spaza shop
Date found: 13 December 2007
Placed in a place of Safety on 15 December 2007
General information: His father owns a truck and his mother do not work. His manners and behavior indicates that he was brought up well and in good conditions. Language: Zulu with a few words in Sesotho. If you know who this child is or where he belongs please contact us on +27012 393 2005/7. South African Dialing code. Thank you for taking the time to read this mail, and may God bless you during the rest of the year.
Kind regards.

Hello TrudyVan ... I've found your lens most informative as I had heard about the children in other parts of Africa, but was not so aware of the missing children in South Africa. Thanks for your spirited work. 5 stars. I also appreciate that you took the time to drop by my LOTD. Keep up the good work. Posted March 08, 2008 |

How do there take a child whilst you are shopping
Always have contact with your child when you are shopping
They use any substance that will make you sleep so that the child will not cry out. No one say anything at all. It all happened so quick. Think about it your child runs away from you in the shopping centre or you send your child to check out the toys' section while you get on the your shopping. By the time you notice your child is missing it could be too late. Please for your child's safety keep your toes on them if you need to, do something to keep in physical contact at all times. Our children are our most precious assets in this life, they are our future, treat them right, respect them, Rather be overprotective than underprotective, they have enough chance when they are bigger to defend themselves.
Please let us unite on this issue of missing children

Report A Sighting of a Missing Child
There are a number of forms and pages online to use to report a sighting of a missing child. Please do not use these as time is often of the essence! You want to alert authorities or local police immediately - a child's life or recovery could depend on it.
Resources and immediate contact lists are available below, but should never be relied upon solely. Phone your local police station as a secondary precaution.

Womans Month of August
Female Children
As it is women's month for the month of August, I would like to dedicate this month also to all the female children out there.
Let us celebrate the wonder of being a female and go all out for stronger laws to protect all our children.
The courts systems need to be changed. How can a small child give evidence. They are so confused about everything and the also do not have the ability to fight the defendants lawyers in court.
To all you women out there great and small this is your month. Look after each other
Kindest regards
TrudyVan
