- I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it when I see someone get creative with tile.
If you are looking for a way to customize your next room or flooring project, using some clever placement of tile will allow you to create a customized "rug" for your room.
Debbie Snider over on Houzz's website has some fabulous examples of how this fabulous look can be achieved. - Local Designers We Love | Mission Statements
- In my search for inspiration, I find there is much to learn simply by observing those who love their craft.
Here are two local designers who obviously are putting a lot of effort into helping their clients come up with just the right look. - Luxury Bathroom Tile of the day- Du Barry Mosaic | Mission Statements

- Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Tile | Mission Statements
- I used to spend hours and hours in the library. I love to learn. I guess you could call me a student of life. So when the Internet became available, I was in heaven. It opened up the whole world to me. If I wanted to see examples of DaVinci's work, all I had to do was look it up online. So long Encyclopedia Britannica. Hello world!

- Organic Inspiration: Think Outside the Box | Mission Statements
- In modern suburbia, we are confined to living in a box within a box. Where is the movement in our lives? Nature is composed of curvilinear lines and asymmetry, whether it is a twiggy tree branch or the free flowing creeks and rivers. With all this organic inspiration around us, we can recreate our surroundings by incorporating organic elements in our homes.
In San Diego, CA. an artist and architect named James Hubbell has done just that. Inspired by his natural surroundings, he created a home that is definitely outside the box. Not a single element of straight, parallel lines exists. He has incorporated materials such as sprayed concrete, glass mosaics, wrought iron, stained glass, sea shells, natural stones, semi-precious stones, and hand crafted bricks from Mexico.
After creating his multi-building home in Julian, CA. in San Diego County, he worked with my parents to create a one of a kind home I lovingly call the ?pineapple? or ?rock? house. My parents created hand-cut stained glass windows, and glass and terra cotta wall and floor mosaics. Our house was constructed of steel and sprayed concrete, and incorporated all of the usual elements that James utilized in his designs. - Mission Accomplished: This Exclusive Club is Members-only Chic | Mission Statements
- For some of you, these photos may be your only look inside. So by all means?take a good gander. Close-up, in-person viewing (and relaxing, indulging, partying and enjoying) is exclusively reserved for this private club's members and their invited guests.
- Lights, Camera, Installation! | Mission Statements
- This week we worked with photographer Sheri Oneal to capture one of our latest tile installations at a local Nashville home. We worked in conjunction with Landy Gardner Interiors to capture a traditional and elegant bathroom with a few contemporary touches.
- Pottery Barn Syndrome | Mission Statements
- If you want to remodel your bathroom, and you are stuck on ideas that resemble a Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware catalog, break away from the ?Pottery Barn Syndrome? and look to a local Interior Designer. Kelley Jones, a local Interior Designer, can inspire you to look at your bathroom with new eyes.
This particular bathroom she designed is reminiscent of Ancient Greece with the wall mosaics and shell mirrors. Mixed with old Hollywood glamour, you would feel like a movie star getting dolled up in front of a mirrored vanity. - Kibak Tile | Mission Statements
- Kibak Tile offers a wide repertoire of historically relevant designs. Over 25 years of driving passion, attention to detail, and dedication to their customers has expanded the Kibak collection to include patterns from the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa. Every tile is hand crafted to perfection with each individual client in mind. Disney, Marriott, Trump, Gensler and Hard Rock are among their many satisfied customers. Kibak tiles lend a unique elegance and creative twist to any project.
- Cosmopolitan | Mission Statements
- When I look at the Beveled Arabesque tile from our Cosmopolitan Collection, I get inspired by the symmetry of the patterns and the elegance of the ivory. Here's some home decor ideas that were inspired by the tile itself. Think curvy, contemporary and all-round cool.

One of our specialty tiles that we love is our Interlocking Circles...and we are giving it to someone- FREE. - Mission Statements | Soak Up the Sunshine
- When you see the color yellow, what emotion does it evoke? When I see yellow I feel happy, awake and playful! Color definitely affects your mood, and yellow is an attention getter. The cheerfulness of yellow can be a mood enhancer, and initiates concentration. While yellow is considered an optimistic color, people have been found to lose their tempers and babies cry more in all yellow rooms.
Keep the yellow at bay, but definitely embrace yellow and use it as an accent color with white, black, or grey.
Yellow pops in an all white bathroom with a black trimmed vanity. The vibrant yellow framed mirror and leather armchair pull the space together with a little burst of sunshine. - Mission Statements | A Night on the Town
- Get red-carpet ready in this glamorous bathroom for a night on the town in your chicest duds! Fit for Hollywood royalty, this glitterati feature wall sparkles even when you dim the lights.
The black and chrome vanity and mirror are reminiscent of old Hollywood with updated sleek lines. Recreate this look with our iridescent glass mosaics, and a mix of funky shades from IKEA. This super stylish faucet from Kohler represents simplistic design at its best.
