Different Religion common Issues
This article is for sharing with you my discussion with a person a friend rather, of different religion. He has different fundamentals in life ....still there was something common.
He being a Muslim and I a Hindu was not a hurdle at all in being friends. After all everyone is tolerant in Cosmopolitan cities. Even if in rare cases you are not, you show it superficially, you won't admit it, but won't be able to deny it either.
I shall not sugar coat the truths here. I shall be honest with you. At a very very blunt level.
We both are Indian and right now are in Gulf.
It is not that he was the first Muslim I have met. I have met many, but with no one I could ever have discussion on subjects on which we shared our thoughts.
Not to our surprise there are many things which are common in both the religion. Both of us are not religious of same type. One of us is God Fearing and the other is God Loving . One of us believes in a particular thing because it is written in the holy scripture and is proud about the fact that slowly but steadily Science is proving whatever is written in it is correct. And the other believes it when it is proven by Science and the common logic - that what is mentioned in his holy scriptures is correct, he researches till he finds an explanation for it and then feels proud about it and follows it.
I am not mentioning who does it which way, because you won't relate the person with it, but his religion. We both definitely are not the Muslim Religion or the Hindu religion, we just follow it.
And talk about it as we have understood about it.
So cannot say this is what is written in my Vedas or his Quran, but we are intellectual enough to know that our point of view is dependent on our own understanding of what we have read or it shall be cascaded with understanding of the person from whom we have listened/learned about it.
So while discussing we came up with many similarities. I would not be wrong in saying everything was same, but for the language used.
How could it be different? It should be same as... God is only one.
We both are not the experts of our Scriptures but know very well that no religion, absolutely no religion can be good or bad. Religion is about love.
But still we had differences. We are still just another human :-D
The ways he practiced it & I practice are totally different as mentioned earlier.
The points on which he strongly believed as per his religion I found them very Hippocratic and same was in his case when I spoke about my point of view.
For both of us it was a conscious fight with self to not counter attack the other with reference from the scriptures and start the "mine is better than yours" thing. It was easy to make out from our faces though.
We just kept it inside us and moved on.
But there was one thing in common that we shared.
We both know that today's world is misusing the religion. And that is the cause route of all problems.
If all the Muslims followed the Quran Honestly, if all the Hindus followed the Vedas with proper understanding, the so called modernization would not kill the culture which we pride so much. There would not be any fights.
We both understand that, irrespective of whichever religion we follow, if we live with religion as our support system or basis this place would be a good place to live.
At this moment I understood what was the common thing bonding us. In spite of the fundamental differences we have in our line of thought, our approach towards God, towards life, was not same but was aiming at same direction. We believe and trust in God. And feel sick about the fact that majority are away from it.
And today people like him and me are rare. That is why it feels good to meet a person like him .
It would be definitely wonderful if you could keep the Holy Scriptures (Bible, Quran & Vedas) as basis or backbone of anything you do in your life.
What the world needs and is knowingly or unknowingly searching for is - INNER PEACE
Khalil Gibrans writings shall show you how beautiful the Muslim Religion is.
Pls read "THE PROPHET" in his works... it is beautiful.

Inner Awakening - The need of the hour
I can use words just to tell you about it.
But to actually realize it, to actually understand it.. its better you see it yourselves.
But to actually realize it, to actually understand it.. its better you see it yourselves.
For World Peace - First Understand what is the problem..
We both know the Politicians are misusing the religion and we all enjoy seeing that happen.
That is why allow it to happen.
Back in India we know one of the Major party is openly shouting to support a particular religion and the other is pretending to be secular. Yes we understand the difference between being secular and pretending to be secular.
If you truly are secular, you would not talk about we are secular because these many candidates are Muslims or Hindus or whatever.
No matter if my friend follows things which fundamentally I would not be able to accept. Neither does it matter if we fail in our journey to reach god or understand god.
At least there is a conscious effort to be like God, in the process even if we fail, we are still far better than most of you.
And we both know we are like the silent spectators who are watching the powerful people misusing the religion.
People have forgotten the true essence of life.
To be happy is not difficult but to search at the right places is.
If you have a feeling that this Terrorism is a curse and should not exist in this world, just change yourself.
Mahatma Gandhi had said "Be the change you want to see in this world". I did not understand the true essence of it till I found the answer in the Holy Scriptures.
He was so correct. The world around us is what our mind is actually.
The so called developed nations and every country for that matter, truly want end to this terrorism because of the social and civil problems caused and more importantly, blow to our egos.
The terrorist attacks expose the loop holes in our security system, in our political set up.
But honestly people, say if this terrorist groups did not exist. Is your country still a place to live?
The so called developed nations (I purposely add this so-called, just think over it why) have the problem of racism, is every citizen of your country happy to live there?
Or jus living bcoz he has to.
You feel superior about yourselves?? Then give a solution to this terrorism, give solution for the problems caused by natural calamities.
Even if you can or you could still do you have right to behave not like a human?
Arrogance comes if you are not strong enough to be humble or feel insure from the person you insult. Which one do you belong to?
And India, we fight on the basis of religions, for Language and what not. I don't know if it is our favorite time pass, to argue and fight.
Honestly, jus take a hypothetical case, you want only your religion to stay. OK. Just imagine it happened. Then you would fight for which Caste shall be ruling, why not mine? Why there's?
Fine, just in case say your caste person is allowed to run government, then you shall want him to be of your state, why some other state.
Then your district, then city then street and it ll keep on continuing, not because it is a need, because we do not know anything besides this.
Satisfying your ego is next to impossible. Even if the whole world was yours still.
The moment you understand this, you are a king.
To change the world, just change yourselves. Try it.
Try to change yourselves, this state of mind is still better. At least you would not be wasting yourselves running behind things which have no valve.
As was mentioned earlier even if you fail in the process was doing good you still are a winner, because you are not doing anything wrong.
I see the difference around me... So shall you...
And we have long long way to go......
That is why allow it to happen.

Videos which Youtube thinks are good
I am trusting the brains of the programmer to pick the best list.
You are of course smarter and shall find the more relevant one if you think the other way about the links given by Mr./Mrs. Youtube (gender equality is another topic we shall discuss some other time :-D )
I honestly feel for World Peace its better we follow the Football and Singers blindly... There only the talent matters.. they cannot afford to fight or discriminate the good ones... :-D
