A Disciple Making Movement
www.xmovement.net
A movement is defined as the spontaneous multiplication of new disciples and congregations (IMB). That is what The X Movement is, a leader-making /disciple-producing movement. Jesus had twelve disciples. He poured his life into them and left his work on earth in their hands. Every follower of Christ is called to continue that same legacy of making disciples.
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave us a final mandate before he ascended into Heaven, ?Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.?
The likelihood is very high that this issue of discipleship will come up on the day of judgment. That is not to say that giving, serving, helping, and doing good are not important. Jesus' commissioning does not exclude those things, but rather, forces those activities to culminate with his followers multiplying through the life-long process of disciple-making.
