The 2009 Search for Miss Teen Canada- World found Siera Bearchell from Moosejaw Sask.

On the evening of Saturday July 25th 2009, at approx 11pm The Search for Miss Teen Canada came to its dramatic conclusion in the John Bassett Theatre of the Metro Toronto Convention Center in downtown Toronto when Siera Bearchell won the crown.

A truly momentous evening for everyone involved especially the fifty four teen girls, selected from all across the nation, who competed for $20,000 in cash and sponsorship prizes.. The Miss Teen Canada-World (MTC-W) competition is the only national talent search that conducts provincial challenges in each region to eventually select over fifty finalists. The stage show produced in each province showcases each girls' talent; each regional winner becomes "Miss Teen" of their home province or city. One week before the pageant begins, the finalists are invited to travel to Toronto to compete for the title of Miss Teen Canada-World.

2009 Miss Teen Canada- World Pageant

Saturday July 25th 2009 in downtown Toronto Ontario Canada

The applause was deafening when the hosts, two kids from De Grassi, Paula Brancati and Adamo Ruggiero took their positions on stage and launched the 2009 Search for Miss Teen Canada World at exactly 8pm on the night Saturday July 25th 2009.

A few minutes later fifty four beautiful girls dressed entirely in pink filtered on the stage from four different entrances in a spellbinding musical opening number.

The Search for Miss Teen Canada-World had 54 outstanding teenage girls that are all accomplished in many different avenues. Each began the journey with no idea what to expect, nor did they understand the commitment, the time, the effort and the strength it takes to be a national finalist. They do not just win a crown and smile and look pretty. There are many aspects of the pageant. We even award a $2000 academic scholarship for the best written essay.

After the musical opening, the two professional hosts Adamo Ruggiero and Paula Brancati pronounced each of the fifty four girl's names correctly before they sauntered out, one by one, and without any waving or twirling they each presented themselves to the ticket buying public.

Without any pomp or circumstance the number of contenders was cut in half and thinking back now I can't remember if this was before or after they modelled the swimwear by via brazil.

Singers Divine Brown and Gary Beals were also a big part the picture. They performed complex musical numbers to give the Search for Miss Teen Canada-World that upscale touch - they both did ennoble the proceedings with their impeccable skills as entertainers.
