Why I Support Mitt Romney For President

I'll admit it, politics aren't usually my first choice for a topic of conversation, but the 2008 presidential election made me think a lot about who I wanted to support in his/her run for the White House. After study and consideration, I settled on Mitt Romney, former Governor of Massachussetts, father of five, grandfather of 11, and husband of the former Ann Davies who in my opinion would make as fine a first lady as Gov. Romney would a president for these United States.
For anyone looking to elect a candidate with traditional moral values, intelligence, strong family commitment, proven leadership ability, and an obvious sense of patriotism, the best candidate for the job would be Mitt Romney. He has stayed married to the same wife, raised five wonderful sons who are carrying on the family traditions of faith, service and business success, and has clearly demonstrated time and again that he is up to the job of running America in both good times and bad through his track record of repeated successes.
I am impressed with his history of taking on difficult challenges in business, with his turn around of the floundering 2002 Olympic games in Salt Lake City, and with his conservative stand on issues such as appointing judges who will uphold the constitution, his pro-life position, and his views on traditional marriage.
I hope you will take time to browse some of the links in this lens which offer more information about Gov. and Mrs. Romney, plus places to purchase Vote for Romney merchandise. You can also listen to what Gov. Romney himself has to say about various issues by clicking on the YouTube section.
Many of us are hoping he will put himself in the running again in 2012. If you then feel that Mitt Romney is your candidate too, please sign the guestbook and be counted as one of his supporters.

What Is Your Opinion?

Tell us what you think: should a candidate's professed religious beliefs be something that automatically excludes she or he from the White House, or should that person be judged on how they have lived their life, raised their family, and on their public record while serving in other political offices?

I'm keeping this lens up because Mitt Romney still has supporters who hope he will figure in the race as either the vice-presidential candidate for John McCain, or that he will consider running again in 2012. Go Mitt!

I would not vote for Mitt Romney for my trash pickup...ask him to explain why he abandoned the BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, during the 2002 Winter Olympics. He isn't man enough. They volunteered for the Olympics, and he allowed ACLU forces to renig on the volunteers. It's scumbags like Romney who are changing the moral standard of this country...and he calls himself a christian. Don't think so.

Mitt Romney has cancelled his campaign for the presidency in 2008, but this lens will remain open to provide up to date information on the continued race for the white house, and info on what Mitt has planned next. Is 2012 in his future plans? Perhaps the vice-presidency in 2008 is still a possibility. We will be watching with interest.

I'd take him over most of the other candidates... especially Huckabee. He's the one making religion an issue in this campaign anyway. No class...

Good luck to Mitt.
