The Tao of Mixed Martial Arts

Ranked #11,545 in Sports & Recreation, #278,626 overall

Mixed Martial Arts is a unique sport

Mixed Martial Arts is my favorite combat sport! Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport in the world in my opinion. Mixed Martial is an exciting sport that requires skill in many martial arts such as Muay Thai, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, wrestling, boxing, and Judo just to name a few. Mixed Matial Arts has become more popular than boxing in my opinion. If you are interested in a really cool way to learn some MMA Click Here!

Bruce Lee and Mixed Martial Arts

History of MMA

Some say that Mixed Martial Arts started in ancient Greece with a style called Pankration that was an Olympic sport in those days! Later in the 1920's a combat sport called Vale Tudo was developed in Brazil. Others say that in the 1960's - 1970's Bruce Lee was the grandfather of Mixed Martial Arts because he studied many martial arts and took the best from them to develop his style call Jeet Kune Do. Finally, in 1993 the Ultimate Fighting Championship started and is what started Mixed Martial Arts on its way to one of the most popular sports today.

Please now do an article about my boy Marius Pudzianovsky, I love the tag he had "this is the hand of death " then raised his other arm and said "and this one even I am afraid of " With thanks and appreciation. Cathi x

Martial arts is not my favorite sport but my daughter hold 2 world titles and several Australian titles in Karate and has numerious gold medals in most of the art forms you speak of above. She has a tattoo on her arm as she is considered a walking weapon. Well done lens and featured on winter sports gear Top marks

Nice! Bruce Lee was my "hero" when I was a kid. I studied Goju Ryu for 2 years when I was a kid.. and I switched to Tae Kwon Do for another 2 years. Then, when my kids were in their early teens, they took 2 years of Shaolin Kempo and then switched to Tae Kwon Do and Ninjitsu with a smattering of Mui Thai. Both kids are black belts in Tae Kwon Do. Their training in Martial Arts has helped them ever since. I've liked, favorited, thumbs-upped, and lensrolled your great lens! Congrats on a great job!
