Take an introductory tour into the world of mixed media art- and just as the name implies, the materials can be vast array of items- as well as, emerge in a vast array of mediums- from canvas to bracelets-! So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and check it out! Once you take a leap into this unique world, you will be ready to get the Gusso out or maybe a pair of scissors to cut some collage material out!

Browsing the web for everything I can find on mixed media!Mixed media describes a technique or method of art that incorporates a variety of different ingredients- such as paper, paint, pencils, found objects and more... If you can make it stick, it can be added! Mixed media can be applied to a variety of forms, also- that is where the real fun comes in! As a Newbie to the exploration of mixed media in altered art, I am constantly looking and scouring for every tid bit of information I can find- so as I take this journey, why not come along and share in the experience?     Nice lens and good subject...I have done some mixed media/altered art and ACEO cards, but also have had the misfortune of people taking my art off the internet and using it in their mixed media...that's copyright infringing...so there is a fine line to watch for.

    Thanks for the tips! It is sad when people remove artwork from other's sites! I typically check the "how to use my artwork" or "copyright info" section of a blog before I even think about downloading anything someone has posted. Bloggers like the Graphics Fairy have a nice little "how to" on using the clip art she posts. Most of the images I use have come from those blogs that are so kind as to offer up free images that they say "may be used in your creations for personal or for sale"- If you don't see that somewhere- Don't risk it!
